Woolworths The Palms

The scoped refurbishment turned into a structural rebuild, also of the majority of the bulkheads and all ground floor suspended ceiling grid, including all BOH areas.

New vinyl tile floors in the main retail area. Epoxy floor touch-ups to the fish area and a new Degafloor to the BOH deli area.

A new pharmacy was built to standard Countdown specs, and wall finishes installed where a mixture of timber, tiles, shadow clad, stainless steel, and painted gib bulkheads.

New online area layout to the front of store with automatic doors installed. One opening into the store, the other into the mall. Elockers installed, and the floor area was ground concrete with an anti-dusting Ardex clear coat installed.

The store was staged to allow the produce area to be handed back at an agreed date, while the online store and main store were then to be completed. Full demolition of the areas meant a lot of time spent ensuring the areas were cleaned for store opening, but the team managed this well with protection and only a few issues with store presentation that were rectified and further controls added to ensure this was prevented in the future.
